The talented Moe-ain Daniels will blow the audience away with his inspirational story and first live, solo performance. Performing his debut single “Don’t Need Wings to Fly” Supporting Moe-ain, our good friends, Clive & Elaine Ridgeway, has kindly invited him & are instrumental in this appearance at the 2017 GWF. Moe-ain’s hit song was written by Clive, the current program manager at Smile 90.4FM, band member of Rocking Horse and Director of the Cape Town School of Songwriting.
“Don’t Need Wings to Fly” That’s the message he wishes to share Moe-ain is completely dependent on his family, specifically his mother, as he was born with a physical disability which means he cannot use his hands or walk. He uses his mouth to type, write and draw. After school, family circumstances, coupled with the fact that his disability made it difficult to get around, forced him to put his musical aspirations on ice until the 28-year- old decided: “I need to do this; we don’t get any younger.” Despite his disability, Moe-ain has performed at parliament and the National Arts Festival and has enjoyed some radio play on Smile 90.4FM. He has had a headline performance at The Artscape with the support of established artists like The Boyz, Protege, Rocking Horse, Singing Siblings Lana English and Victor Siljeur, Bev Scott Brown, Roeshdien Jaz and Selim Kagee.
